It’s no secret that as the baby boomers age, medical care providers are going to need a massively expanded workforce to meet demand.
According to a Department of Labor job search site, many of the fastest-growing occupations are related to health care. Careers like physical therapy assistants, vocational nursing, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) paramedics and others are expected to experience job growth through 2022.

Lone Star College health science programs cover a large range of specialties, from dental hygiene and massage therapy to medical radiology and phlebotomy. LSC offers AAS degrees in nursing, Emergency Medical Services, occupational therapy assistant, pharmacy technology, and more, along with certification in these programs and more. Earnings for many of these jobs are often upwards of $50,000.
