Welding is a growing career field that provides lots of opportunities for people interested in learning technology skills, exploring creative tendencies and building a solid work ethic. Welding is used to join steel beams in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures and to join pipes in pipelines, power plants and refineries.
It is estimated 29% of current construction workers including welders will retire by 2026 creating a huge demand for highly trained welders. With that demand comes more work and opportunity.
Lone Star College offers a wide range of welding programs that allow someone to earn an American Welding Society Skills Certificate or an Associate of Applied Science degree.
Remember, the more you learn, the more you earn.
